GLEEN - Terms of Use

Effective date: 01 October, 2025
Operator: Nexoris Technologies Ltd
Registered address: To be decided
Support: support@mygleen.com

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are the rules for using the Gamified Learning & Exam Excellence Networks (GLEEN) app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using GLEEN, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (written to follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023). If you don’t agree, please don’t use GLEEN.

1) Who can use GLEEN

  • Age. You must be 15 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parent or legal guardian consent and that your parent/guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

  • One person, one account. Don’t share your login.

  • Teachers. GLEEN does not allow public teacher sign-ups. All classes are handled by GLEEN in-house teachers only. Any account pretending to be a teacher will be removed.

2) Your account

  • Use real details. Keep your information accurate and updated.

  • Keep it secure. Protect your password and device. Tell us quickly if you notice suspicious activity.

  • Respectful profile. No abusive names, impersonation, or anything misleading.

3) What GLEEN is (and isn’t)

GLEEN helps with WAEC, NECO, JAMB and related exam prep through:

  • CBT-style practice: quizzes, mocks, timed sessions, explanations.

  • Motivation tools: coins, streaks, levels, badges, leaderboards.

  • Live learning: classes and Q&A run only by GLEEN in-house teachers.

  • Parent view (optional): parents can link to see basic progress.

  • Offline mode: the app can show cached text and videos when you have no data.

GLEEN is not an exam body and not affiliated with WAEC, NECO, or JAMB. We provide study support, not guaranteed grades or admission.

4) Plans, billing and refunds

  • Free and paid options. Prices and features are shown in-app or on our site (taxes may apply).

  • How you pay. If you buy via Google Play or Apple App Store, their rules for billing, renewal and cancellation apply. If you buy directly from us, we charge the payment method you provide.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before renewal.

  • Cancellation. Cancel anytime. You keep access until your paid period ends.

  • Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires or where we specifically say otherwise. For duplicate charges or verified technical issues, we may consider a goodwill refund.

5) Study integrity and community rules

We want real learning. Don’t:

  • Look for or share exam leaks (“expo”), answer keys, or any materials that break exam rules.

  • Cheat in quizzes, fake scores, or abuse referrals/leaderboards.

  • Bully, harass, use hate speech, or encourage self-harm or violence.

  • Post illegal, pornographic, infringing, or harmful content.

  • Spam or advertise without our written permission.

  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or try to bypass access controls or paywalls.

  • Record or rip class videos, screen-record lessons, or try to extract cached content.

  • Use GLEEN while driving or in any unsafe situation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. For serious issues, we may inform parents/guardians or authorities where appropriate.

6) Live classes (by GLEEN teachers only)

  • Who hosts. Only GLEEN in-house teachers can host classes. Users cannot create teacher accounts.

  • Recording. For safety and quality, some sessions may be recorded. By joining, you consent to that. Don’t record or share classes without our written permission.

  • Conduct. Be respectful. Hosts can remove disruptive participants.

  • Changes. Classes may be rescheduled or cancelled; we’ll try to notify you.

  • No professional advice. Classes are educational, not legal/medical/psychological advice.

7) Parent/guardian features

Parents/guardians can link to a student’s account (with the student’s agreement) to see light progress data like practice time, quiz stats and streaks.

  • Students can unlink at any time (some features may stop working).

  • Parents agree to use the data to support, not to punish or spy.

8) Offline mode = cached only

When you’re offline, GLEEN may display temporary, encrypted cache of lessons and videos:

  • These are not downloads you can copy or share.

  • Cached items auto-expire and may refresh or disappear when you reconnect.

  • Don’t try to extract, export, or share cached content in any way.

  • If your plan ends, cached items will stop working.

9) Your content and feedback

Some parts of GLEEN let you post or submit content (e.g., comments, messages) (“User Content”).

  • You own it. You keep your rights.

  • Licence to GLEEN. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your content to run, protect, improve and promote the Service (including moderation and safety checks).

  • Removal. You can delete your content, but cached copies or shares may remain for a short time.

  • Feedback. If you send ideas, we can use them without paying you or crediting you.

10) Our content and your licence to use GLEEN

Everything in the app/site (software, designs, question banks, text, graphics, videos, logos) belongs to GLEEN or our partners.

  • We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use GLEEN for your own study.

  • Don’t copy, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works without our written permission.

  • We are not the official source of WAEC/NECO/JAMB past questions. We create or license original items to simulate the style and difficulty.

If you think something infringes your rights, email legal@mygleen.com.

11) Safety and reporting

If you see harassment, harmful content, or anything suspicious (including “expo”), please report in-app or email safety@mygleen.com.
For emergencies or imminent harm, contact local authorities first.

12) Devices, data and updates

You’re responsible for:

  • A compatible device and updated OS.

  • Data charges from your network provider.

  • Installing app updates (some features need the latest version).

13) Third-party services

GLEEN uses third-party services (payments, video, analytics, app stores). Their own terms and privacy policies apply. We’re not responsible for their content or outages.

14) Privacy (NDPA 2023)

We handle personal data according to the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and our Privacy Policy.

  • We are usually the data controller. In limited partnerships with a school or sponsor, we may act as data processor under a separate agreement.

  • For data rights (access, correction, deletion, objection), contact privacy@mygleen.com.

  • If you’re unhappy with our response, you can contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). Please message us first so we can fix it quickly.

15) Messages from us

By using GLEEN, you agree we can send service messages (password resets, security alerts, class reminders) by push, email, SMS or in-app.
You can opt out of marketing messages in settings or by using “unsubscribe.”

16) Changes to GLEEN or these Terms

We’re always improving. We may add or remove features and update these Terms. If changes are important, we’ll notify you in-app or by email. If you keep using GLEEN after the effective date, it means you accept the new Terms.

17) Suspension or termination

We may suspend or close your account if you:

  • Break these Terms or our policies,
  • Commit fraud or illegal activity,
  • Create risk or legal exposure for us, or
  • Don’t pay when payment is due.

You can delete your account any time in settings or by contacting support. Some sections (like IP and liability) continue after termination.

18) Disclaimers

  • “As is.” GLEEN is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise it will be perfect or uninterrupted.

  • No affiliation. We’re not affiliated with WAEC, NECO or JAMB.

  • No guarantees. Results depend on your effort and other factors we can’t control.

19) Limitation of liability

As much as Nigerian law allows:

  • We won’t be liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost data, revenue or profits), even if we were told they could happen.

  • For any claim, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 3 months before the issue, or ₦25,000, whichever is higher.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, fraud, or anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

20) Your promise to us (indemnity)

You agree to indemnify GLEEN, our staff and partners against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of GLEEN.

21) Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If there’s a dispute, we’ll try to settle it informally within 30 days of a written notice. If we can’t, either party may file a claim in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria (you agree to that venue). Either party may also seek urgent court orders to protect intellectual property.

22) Copyright complaints

To report copyright issues, email legal@mygleen.com with:

  1. Your contact details;
  2. The work you own;
  3. Where it appears on GLEEN (URL or screen);
  4. A good-faith statement that the use is unauthorised;
  5. A statement that your notice is accurate and you’re the owner/authorised agent;
  6. Your signature (digital is fine).

We may remove or block the content and notify the user who posted it.

23) XP (Points), Badges & Rewards

  • What XP are. XP are the points you earn for learning actions on GLEEN (quizzes, streaks, challenges, etc.). They sit in your account and are personal and non-transferable.

  • Value & redemption.

    • 1 XP = ₦1 for redemptions inside GLEEN.

    • You can redeem XP for:
       (a) Airtime top-up to supported Nigerian networks; or
       (b) GLEEN subscriptionif your XP balance is enough to cover the full price (no part-payments).

    • Redemptions are final once processed. Delivery may take a short while and can be delayed by network/provider outages.

  • No cash-out.
XP cannot be withdrawn to a bank account, mobile money, or converted to cash. XP are not legal tender, cannot be sold, traded, gifted, or transferred between accounts.

  • Fair use, bugs & fraud.
We may place caps or expiry on XP as shown in-app. Any XP granted by mistake or through a bug, exploit, automation, multiple-account abuse, or other policy breach will be removed, and we may reverse any redemption made from such XP. We can pause or close accounts and request verification if we suspect abuse.

  • Changes.
The reward catalogue and redemption rules may be updated from time to time (we’ll show changes in-app). The XP rate is currently set at 1 XP = ₦1 for in-app redemptions. If we ever need to change that rate, we’ll announce it in-app before it takes effect.

24) Rewards, scholarships and promos

Sometimes we run rewards, scholarships or contests. Each one has its own rules. If those rules conflict with these Terms, the programme rules apply for that programme only. Rewards gained by fraud or breach may be withheld.

25) School or sponsor access (if applicable)

If a school or sponsor gives you access:

  • They may manage accounts or features tied to that access.
  • Their separate policies may also apply.
  • Where we process data for them, we’ll follow a data processing agreement.

26) Force majeure

We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond our control (e.g., network outages, strikes, government actions, natural events).

27) Other legal bits

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about GLEEN.

  • If a part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.

  • We can assign these Terms (e.g., during a merger or sale). You can’t assign without our consent.

  • If we don’t enforce a part now, it doesn’t mean we can’t enforce it later.

  • Headings are just to make reading easier.
